Create a System
It’s crucial for your business to create a system that will work for you and help you get shit done! Without a system, you’ll FAIL! The reason is you’ll have so much to do and you won’t know how to divide your time.
On Sunday evenings, sit down and plan your week. Plan everything from client projects to your social media strategy. This is when I also plan my blog posts for the week as well. I then break down my weekly list to a daily list and distribute my tasks so that I can better finish them by the end of the week. By doing this you get to be productive and finish a chunk of work in a short period of time. If you don’t create a system. How then can you delegate work to a team if you yourself do not know when and how things should be done?!
Set a Timer
While doing your daily tasks, set a timer for 20 min per project. I know your like ‘but how am I supposed to finish a task if I have only 20 min to do it?’, well, my friend, you’ve already created your daily task and focusing on one task at a time will probably leave you overwhelmed and back at square one. Sooo set a timer and work on one task. When the timer ends, move on to another task. Don’t worry about the previous task as you’ll get to finish it by the end of the day or week. It helps to take your mind away from the project and come back to it with fresh eyes and a fresh mind.
Put Away Distractions
This is VERY IMPORTANT! Put your phone on silent, minimize all notifications and just concentrate on your work. Not only will you get more work done, you’ll have the focus to finish your tasks on time. Take the time to set tasks in your daily routine specifically for checking emails and being on social media **hint** this should already be scheduled in your weekly and daily tasks**.
